About Me.
I was born and raised in the California, Bay Area and brought up in diversity and culture where I was luckily able to be a part of so many stories and different lives. With so many great mentors and friends, I'm inspired to continue to pass on the spirit of helping others in the ways I know best.
I am a Doctoral Candidate for Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine in Austin, TX. I received my bachelor's of science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behaviors (NPB) with an emphasis on physiology and a minor in Psychology from UC Davis. I am the founder of the RIVER Health Coach Program which effectively provides free lifestyle coaching to underserved communities. I've facilitated exercises at the physical therapy outpatient clinics and hospitals, conducted exercise and nutrition counseling at the Joan Viteri Memorial Clinic, led health based curriculum at Bret Harte Elementary School, assit at the UC Davis Medical Center ICU and Physical Therapy Unit, and collaborated with leaders within CommuniCare Health Centers and Nourish Yolo.
I am passionate about well-being, public health, and serving the underserved through volunteerism. As former President of a non-profit preventative health organization, Recognizing Illness Very Early & Responding (R.I.V.E.R.), I will hold myself to my mission to better society through community and reaching out to one another.
